I think the feeling is mutual.

Does anybody remember the name of that Henry Rollins spoken word track where he fantasizes about a female cop ?

He tells her badge sits nice on her titties, then he taunts her to shoot him, then he tells her he's going to get off in her ass and drive off in her car ?

I really want to find a youtube of that. I think it's from the late 80s or early 90s.

I don't remember claiming I was a hippy or laid back. I do have long hair, but it isn't a statement of my beliefs, its just a physical attribute. Doe the fact that I'm tall or wear contacts suggest something about my personality, or is it just hair length?

I also don't remember romanticising any criminal organisations. I do remember saying that state violence was no more acceptable than that perpetrated by organized crime, and that a cop was no better than your average street thug. But you must remember that being put at or near the same level as the police is hardly being romanticised.

No doubt. His badge does sit awfully nice upon his titties.

The track's called 'Can you speak this?' and it was on the 'Drive by shooting' EP that came out in 1987, but I haven't found a free copy anywhere on the interwebs yet.

Somalia fits the trope perfectly. The reason Somalia's government may be ignored is because of the WARLORDS WITH ARMIES.

Your chief of police won't get assassinated by his own men if he tried to have the head of Goldman & Sachs arrested, for example. This has happened already in Mexico.

I'd be more inclined to believe that the warlords are able to exist because there's no government anybody recognizes aside from them.

We have had high level officials killed by particularly vicious gangs in this country. But if a police chief goes after a particularly powerful individual, he probably won't be assassinated. He will soon be looking for another job, tho.

That's because the warlords have big fucking armies and told the government "go fuck yourself" in the language of AK-47s.

They literally cannot control the drug cartels in mexico at all. There was a time when they were almost begging the US to end the war on drugs.
