He isnt, there isnt a single metric that makes this look good economically hence his appeal to optimism.

    GDP Growth compared to whom?

Our GDP is currently growing faster than Germanys.

We also have record high employment and the highest rate of foreign direct investment in Europe.

When Max says 'there isn't a single metric supporting Cullion's opinion' what he really means is 'argle bargle argle bargle I don't know anything about economics and don't follow the news very closely'

but since there hasn't been a major adjustment since the vote, and only a continuation of treads; the reasonable conclusion to make is that the current economy is still the pre brexit economy, and that the post brexit economy will involve a major change in the markets.

if they were optimistic they would be buying and there would be a noticeable uptick, of they were worried there would be a noticeable downturn; instead the markets are acting like nothing has, or will happen. So I guess the smart money is on this whole thing blowing over without major changes?

Thats exactly the argument that people who were predicting an immediate crash if we voted out now make. Except for a few hinest ones like the chief economist at the Bank of England who now concedes that his model was simply wrong.

Once again, you're factually wrong though; manufacturing and inward have both grown since the vote. We haven't simply seen a continuation of the status quo.

Rising investment a year before we leave suggests that on balance, investors are comfortable with growth prospects here.

The EU has all kinds of economic problems; protectionist policies, subsidy of grossly inefficient industries, a failing currency union thats causing huge unemployment in the south. Its less than half of our trade and shrinking relatice to the rest of the world. There's a lot of downside in staying and a lot of upside in leaving.

tell me, why did Nigel Farage leave UKIP?

did they site immigration as the major motivator or sovereignty?

That's not a legally binding amendment. The law still says we leave end of the month.

After he resigned as leader UKIP was taken over by people much more Islamophobic than him, and currently courts the support of people like Tommy Robinson.

Nigel Farage is a middle-class pseudo-respectable racist a bit like Jeremy Clarkson and has enough political nous to understand that associating with open extreme islamophobes who are constantly in trouble with the police is political suicide outsde of the tiny fringe of hardline zealots that UKIP has become.

Most of the 'normal' UKIP voters went back to voting Tory or Labour once the leave side won the referendum.
