It means a smaller percentage of the under-25 population cared one way or the other. The stat that matters is 'remain lost'.

and if they care now? has a call for referendum ever been denied on theses grounds?

It's too late, they already had a chance to vote on this issue. We can't just keep re-running referendums without implementing the result until the side that urban liberals prefer wins. That's absurd.

Well thats one way of framing it I guess. Another is, now people have a better idea of the consequences they should be given the chance to vote again.

You sound as if you dont understand that referenda are legally just consultations. Is this the case?

That's not true when parliament passes a law to implement them afterwards, and it's not how this referendum was messaged to the public. I don't think we should have another referendum on this until we leave, and a party wins a general election with 'have another referendum on EU membership' in its manifesto. That could happen in much less than 5 years, but I still think that process should be followed to maintain the integrity of our democracy.

Just making people vote over and over again without implementing the result until you get a result you like is bullshit.

how would that be any less valid then the first refrendum?

Let's say you got a result you liked the next time. We keep voting, right? We don't just stop on a result you like?

If that's what you're saying, then you're being democratic and consistent, but utterly insane.

If you want to stop when you get a result you like, then you might as well stop pretending to believe in Democracy.

The sane path is to not have another vote until the last vote has actually been implemented, at the very least.

my question is how valid is one vote compared to another.

I already answered that question very clearly. Holding a second referendum on the same topic before the first result is enacted is illegitimate.
