Irish people have been voting in UK elections, working in the UK, serving in UK police forces and armed forces etc.. without having to change their nationality since windrush. I have not met a single hard brexit proponent who wants to end the Common Travel Area with Ireland or close the border between NI and the Republic. There's nothing inconsistent here, you have simply been propogandised into seeing the UK exercising it's right to leave the EU as some evil move causing friction between North and South when the only party that actually wants to put a border up is the EU. The EU will fuck you over time and time again, and expect you to be grateful for it.

I predict Ireland leaving the EU within a decade.

Big Arlene and her DUP nut bags have made it quite clear, they will not tolerate the North being treated differently to the main land when it comes to the border

Don't they hold the balance of power for this government?

As to your point about the position of Irish citizens in British culture, you could say exactly the same about Windrush folk, and they have further rights as Commonwealth citizens, yet they are still vulnerable to deportation

So what was your point again?

    No reason they should be.

What was yours? I don't think Windrush people should've been deported, but the fact is that Irish never were. You're creating a paranoid remoaner fantasy world of gloom.

Do you think that we should have an open border with France?

Nigel Farage isn't in govt. I voted UKIP in 2010 after checking that the local candidate had no background with the BNP or NF (It was Count Nikolai Tolstoy), but I didn't in 2015 because of what Alan Sked said about how racist Farage was in private.

Doofa - it seems like you are kicking yourself for not voting and now you want a say.

My point is this; it's all very well you saying "don't worry, you won't get deported from the EU, lookat my old mum. .." when shit like that happens even in civilised places like England

I'm not being paranoid, it's a real concern for Brits in Europe and Europeans in the UK

Will I have to apply for leave to remain, if so how often? How much will it cost? What are my voting rights? You feel me? Etc etc etc

Until a deal is done, I and millions like me are in limbo and if there's no deal, what then?
