Which do you think takes longer and carries higher risk:-

    1) Unwinding investments in financial instruments traded electronically

    2) Getting a country to secede from a regional political union or remain in it, changing numerous laws in the process

It's obviously 2. The billionaires of both sides are doing this for ideological reasons. Money is just a tool. Clumsy 'follow the money' analysis when we're talking about billionaires is a sign the person doing it doesn't have a solid grasp on what that kind of wealth entails. Yes, there are probably a few parliamentary & establishment remainers whose wealth is measured in the low millions who are doing this because of EU largesse. It's irrelevant for people like Soros, Crispin Odey, Branson, Rees-Mogg.

I dont dismiss it so easily. I think there's boys playing a big stake game as much as there are ideologues riding the opportunity.

If you were a billionaire investor simply optimising to make more money, trying to steer the political culture and treaty obligations of a whole country, rather than just betting on the most likely political outcome, would be a completely retarded way of doing it.

Remember when the UK crashed out of the ERM? George Soros is a big fan of the EU, but when he saw which way the economic wind was blowing he profited from the ERM failing.

I dont think this is the case though, I think they are playing a game, a big stakes game, I think they're basically competitive boys.

    so new election.

I haven't heard any platforms yet, but if a labor government runs on revoking article 50 as it's only policy how should they proceed once elected?

Labour isn't going to do that whilst Corbyn is in charge, and they'd be guaranteed to lose by a landslide if they did

Labour are going for the 2nd Referendum vote they'd be crazy to go full Remain.

The Lib-Dems are going full on revoke article 50 remain in the EU but will probably settle for a 2nd Referendum. Although their new leader Jo Swinson thinks she's going to be next Prime Minister & is saying shen wouldnt need to make a pact with either the Tories or Labour. I think she's delluded but I never thought Trump would be President of the US or Johnson the PM of the UK or that the original Referendum would be won by the Leave vote....

Tories seem hell bent on moving further to a right libertarian future where Jacob Rees Mogg's overshore hoard will save the poor from themselves. To be fair I have no fucking idea what the Tories are going to put forward except for the tedious "Get Brexit Done" slogan they've been trying to hypnotize us with.

They all look like a shower of twats at the moment to me, I'll probably vote Green again even though they have been moving into pedantic leftwing bullshittery of late.

which is why I said "if".

IF they adopted remain as their one policy, how should they proceed with a majority; granted also a big if.
