    not sure if sarcastic?

personal politics aside it's kind of hard to run a political party without being in opposition to the other guy. even if Brexit still had public support it's kind of hard to run on "I agree with my opponent".

except that's just what happened in Alberta, by a guy who lied about living in the basement of an old folks home. seems like the right always manages to pull that off.

No sarcasm implied. The Brexit issue is a vote splitter across the political spectrum. The Labour Party have been crusing on non-committal for a while as the Tories eat themselves but now they're getting worried.

I think Comarde Corbynychoff is all for Brexit but he doesn't have the support of the rest of the party or the Unions

He has a minority of support in the parliamentary party, but a lot of the traditional grassroots Labor voters (e.g. working class northerners) are brexit voters. The voices in westminster and the university campuses are very, very middle-class in their cultural outlook.

Brexit goes across class lines just as it goes across party lines

There are still a lot of people whose nostalgia for the British Empire has blinded them to the reasons the UK joined the EEC in the first place and has made them gullable to the foundationless claims of BoJo and the rest of the loony right/left that the UK can survive in the real world without being affiliated with a major econonomic block

RJ, IPSOS has a nice break down of the demographics of the vote

The move by Labour could see it being in real trouble in Labour heartlands. Thier vote is split between middle class liberal types & old skool socialists. Its really 2 parties in my opinion just as the Tories are but any attempts at creating a middle centerist party in the UK have never really worked out.

I think it's good that they are finaly coming down on one side or the other

All this 'we support brexit but won't back the deal' was spineless

Most of the brexiteers have already voted for the B(n)P anyway IMO

They are now just focusing on getting back the Remoaners that fled to the LibDems

even if it's a bad move, it's still the only move. a party can't really expect to do well with, like the other guys with a slightly different bit of flourish.

not sure what this means for my side, I just don't see two ways about this.

The UK joined the EEC because the people who pushed for the deal lied through their teeth about their long-term intentions.

Britain joined because they were on the verge of total economic collapse and the EEC was the only life line they had

And don't think i didn't notice the hypocracy of you giving out about pro-European lies considering the many fibs the leave campain told

The UK joined the EEC because a group in our political elite wanted us to. Our economic problems were caused by our industry becoming grossly inefficient due to state ownership.

What leave campaign lies are you talking about ?
