Yes it did. You're just not processing how deeply unpopular new-left ideology is with swathes of the population, and has been for years. You're absolutely retreating into conspiracy theory.

If you say Ford nation arose organically, it kind of did, but the daily mail and Fox news did not.

Only about 4 million people read the Daily Mail. That's less than a quarter of the vote to leave the EU, and the Sunday version of the paper was against leaving.

makes sense, an Australian media mogul probably has strong opinions about free trade as the one level he is a globalist; but I don't think it's realistic to argue that he hasn't influenced the nationalistic fervor that led to Brexit. I also don't think it's realistic to think that Russia is not involved in pushing said nationalism, it's kind of central to their short and long term economic goals. Their GDP is less then Italy, you think they want to go toe to toe with any large trade block?

    anyways

The right wing media was not created organically, but it's only kind of a malicious conspiracy. It's no secret Roger Ailes came up with the idea for Fox News during water gate, if only there was a news source that would lie to the American people; then Nixon would still be president. Murdock has similar ideas, as did many others. keep non political news lowest common denominator, have the best tits in news, focus on editorialists who appeal to conservative demographics.

On the other hand it's also no secret that the mainstream media is cemented as left of center. Part of that is that traditional institutions working as imagined is very much dog bites man, and when they fail is more of a man bites dog story. meaning there was an unserved audience for an alternative; though it was still started by people who wanted to make their will the norm for people and journalistic integrity was never a consideration.

so again I ask, what papers should I be reading, or should I take your advice that all remain politicians are satan and all leave politicians are saints?

There's an awful lot of 'probably' and 'I think' in there, and no facts.

Has it ever occurred to you that you might just be imagining an awful lof of the things you think you know about how the world works ?

You shouldn't get all your information through journalistic filters. Read the texts of politicians speeches from start to finish and the official press releases from each side.
