oh this is really bad. large numbers of people will stop trusting court judgements now.
There wasn't any messing with parliamentary procedure. There have been multiple prorogations in the last century, even Major did it, except Major did it to avoid questioning about his MPs taking cash from lobbyists.
The remain MPs in Parliament are trying to prevent an election from taking place so they have time to overturn a democratic vote before they lose their seats. The brass neck it takes to claim that somebody else is 'interfering with democracy' is quite something.

Johnson lied about the reason for prorogation & the Supreme Court agreed & showed that the Executive does not outrank Parliament. It was a bad action that he really didnt need to do. I suspect its part of a broader Bannonesque rouse to whip up anger & populism personally. After all this kind of People vs The Establishment schitick has worked pretty well for other shysters in the past.
Also more & more is being made of the part played by Johnson's backers, something Cullion dismisses as a Leftwing wackjob conspiracy. I suppose Philip Hammond should now be considered 'leftwing'....
“He is backed by speculators who have bet billions on a hard Brexit - and there is only one outcome that works for them: a crash-out no-deal that sends the currency tumbling and inflation soaring.” - P. Hammond that well known hard left conspiracy peddler

They've had 3 years to debate this and if they didn't trust the executive they could hold an election. The reason they don't do that is because they don't actually want any democratic accountability here. They know they'd lose.
The 'Brexit is all about Billionaires' claim is very, very weird. Who do you think is funding Gina Miller?

The "LOOK OVER THERE" argument doesnt really wash with me but at a guess the billionaires who bet the other way.The 'Brexit is all about Billionaires' claim is very, very weird. Who do you think is funding Gina Miller?
