Just happened upon this one on Youtube. Its not often you see the monster Lucic get his ass handed to him, but he certainly did in this one.

Colton Orr was probably one of the top 3 fighters in the NHL and the Leafs sent him to the minors last season so they could bury his $1.6 Million dollar contract and open cap space.
After he was sent down, the Leafs got pushed all over the place by the opposition.

Hammering on a doorman is stupid. Unless he can prove self defense..

I never saw that before. That guy was truly terrifying. Right up there with Bob Probert.

You know what is really weird about Grimson is that he's a devout Christian; apparently he is a real bible-thumper.

Here's something you don't see every day. A ref duking it out with a player over in one of the Russian leagues..not sure if its KHL or not.

As for the NHL right now, there have already been almost 70 fights so far in this shortened season. On pace for a record if it keeps up.
Intensity has been cranked up considerably since every game is so important. With all games being played solely within Conference and addition of key divisional games, jockeying for playoff positioning will be interesting this season.
Don't be surprised if a few teams that wouldn't have qualified for the post-season in a regular 82 game schedule sneak in this year. A 10 game skid could virtually eliminate a team from playoff contention.
I am thinking perhaps the Islanders , with a new sense of purpose and a young squad, may be ready to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in a while.
With all the arena BS and the uncertainty of the franchise's future behind them, the Isles may be destined for better things this year.
