Here's a kid the Flyers called up from the AHL taking on Lucic..Sestito is back down in Adirondack now.

People say its goon tactics to call up guys who can fight from the minors for just one game against a tough opponent. I'm all for it, personally..I'm sure whoever it is getting brought up is happy just to be at the big show, even if it is only to provide some toughness and maybe get into a fight . I seriously doubt it hurts their feelings..plus,they get a nice bonus on their paycheck.
They know what their job is and the other players respect them, that's what's important.

Not exactly a spectacular fight, but give Chris Neil credit for taking on the giant Chara and holding his own.

Also, give the Ottawa senators credit for matching Boston physically in that game, even though they lost. The Sens have performed well this year despite predictions to the contrary and are bound for the playoffs. Hopefully, their starting goaltender will be off the IR in time for the first round. They traded for some insurance today by acquiring goalie Ben Bishop from the Blues.

There's a couple from the AHL in there too..those AHL goons are tough fuckers. They have to be ready to come up to the NHL on a minute's notice so they make sure to stay in practice lol

I don't know about best fights of the decade, but there's some beauties on there.

How bout the flyers on a 3 game streak, ordinarily I wouldn't be so excited, but right now I'll take what I can get

He got the worst of it, but I give huge props to Komisarek for standing up to Milan Lucic because the guy is a monster.

    Here's an old one.
A bench brawl from the 1980's in a game between the Islanders and Bruins. Watch the four goalies at 1:40, they work things out diplomatically after it looked like they were going to go at it, its funny.

Billy Smith was a tough guy and wasn't afraid of the rough stuff. He was Ron Hextall's predecessor for bad ass goalie-types.
