apparently BC ice wine is some of the best in the world. had some BC ice wine that was $50/bottle, tasted exactly like japanese plum wine served very cold, which is kind of sherry-ish. plum wine is the best.

i have a big bottle of shiraz called 'naked' grape. it has an interesting flavor and it's not too dry - something i think can be attributed to the fact they don't age it in oak barrels (they probably use plastic), it's cheap as dirt and goes with everything. decent wine for $10/liter. planning to have it with turkey dinner in a couple of days.

I donno guys, I just cant get into any wine other then reds. I've tried, but sadly I would take a lowly glass of red table wine over a 200 dollar bottle of white. Is something wrong with me?

Dude, could you at least try to respect something resembling the time-honored process?

Nothing's wrong with you. White wines are often mildly sweet and boring or outright acidic. I can think of maybe two white wines I've enjoyed the taste of. One was Cloudy Bay from New Zealand about 5 years ago, the other was a Bordeaux we had at our wedding.

^ This. Marlborough sauvignon blancs are good stuff. Kim Crawford was producing some good stuff a few years ago too. I mostly drink beer these days, though.
