wash the cauliflower first? i always eat it raw, i find it is generally flavourless but even more so once steamed. raw is best. with ranch dip.

also, baby carrots are often washed with chlorine before packaging. it's better to cut up the big ones.

Just run boiling water through the cauli first okay? Not to cook it but to kill any bugs, then rerun through ice cold water. Slice and voilą...raw cauliflower for dipping.

Liar. You just got your water supply disconnected for not paying your bills. You wish you could wash the scraps you bring in from the bins outside!

    CHEESE!!!!

I am currently enamored with a cheese made in Il Forteto, Italy. I just had a small wedge that another cheese lover bought for us to share and can't get it out of my mind. Unfortunately, the Whole Foods store that he got it from only labeled it as "Il Forteto," which doesn't help me much in finding out what specific type of cheese it was (more than one type comes out of the city).

It was like a VERY sharp cheddar but with an amazing after taste of completely different flavor.

Raw cauliflower isn't bland. It's a bit peppery, actually.

Lily, when you say bugs, do you mean insects or like microbial bugs? I'd rather boost my immunity with the latter and I'll most likely see the former.
