Would, but I can't. I fixed it last time it needed fixing.

You give me a basic point in the right direction and allow me to ask questions and I'll see what I can do.

It...doesn't...work?

What does it do? Anything? Nothing?

Is it a Google Custom Search? A VBulletin search? What we talkin here?

Putting in words certainly gets results. I'm pretty sure the search is going through vBulletin, though I'll make certain. Are people searching for things they know are there but not finding them?

Searching for a person gets results. Searching for Cullion only goes back as far as 09. Is this the problem?

A value within the set.

So, seriously, can you describe the problem?

Ajamil

I honestly don't know what the problem is. I can search just fine; the only complaint is sometimes what I know is there doesn't show up.

Is there a date boundary on the results that show? Is it all results from after a certain date? Before it? Within some range?

I have found the following to be of great assistance when searching Sociocide:

Magic 8-Ball
Ouija Board
20 Sided Die
Chicken Bones
Tarot Cards
Rum and Cigars
Rosary Beads

Have you tried plugging them into the system, Arj?

He has those pages bookmarked, so no need for the search function.

actually I google "Max Stirner Sociocide" and it autocorrects to "Showing results for PENISKNUCKLE"

So, unless I know what's going wrong, it's pretty much impossible for me to hint at how to fix it. The only other way I know of to deal is to look at the code, follow what it does, and look for issues, but I can't do that in this case.

Get someone on staff who knows (or can learn) PHP and MySQL basics, and convince them to care. Otherwise, please characterize the issue usefully, or accept that it'll remain broken.

I just tried to do a search for "His face so red" a thread I posted a while ago but the search function got pissy and told me it didnt allow searches for words shorter than 4 letters.

Thats not the first time its pulled something like that.

Is there a way to allow shorter words to be included in searches?
