Tapatalk is a forum browsing application for most smartphones:

http://www.tapatalk.com/

I'd like to use it on my Android to browse Sociocide.

It's free for forum owners to install the plugin:

http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php

Does Sociocide have this plugin, and if not, could it be done soon?

Hey, my tags are a legit list of platforms supported by Tapatalk. I do like the reference to the other thread, though.

Haven't heard back from Phrost about the status of this so I started a thread about it in the mod forum.

Phrost will be dealing? O, joy of joys.

I do appreciate your help with this.

Mote than a few of us browse the site with mobile devices so I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah, but this is Neal Fletcher. Neal "Me No Understand Komp00ter" Fletcher. Neal "It Looks Fine On My Monitor" Fletcher.

Yes, he's probably one of the people who browses this way, but that won't magically make him smarter or more proactive.

Now, if Kintanon has the appropriate access and is asked to do this, it might happen.

No, you're right; he does on Bullshido. I think it'll require shell access to the Sociocide web server, or at least the ability to upload and unzip a file into the /forums/ directory. Who has that, at the moment?

5th April 11, 10:37 PM
Steve would be the only one who might.

Still no action...

Neal, deal with this soon, or I'll cut off a large portion of your banner ad income.

Yes, I can do that.

Tapatalk is installed, but it won't validate until Google unfucks itself with regards to the malware thing. Already requested a review of the site.

I don't think it was Google that fucked up here.

I and others have mentioned the problem of malware before.

Phrost
25th August 11, 08:54 PM
Seems now it won't validate because of the ridiculously strict security modules running on the server. It is being worked on though. We even have an icon for it and everything.

Want me to try and clear this up? Explain what you mean by "strict security modules" and let me know whose server it is.

I and others have mentioned the problem of malware before.I don't doubt that. We've discussed this problem, and I have no reason to think you'd tell me that kind of thing and not tell staff members.

Something on mod_security... I'll have the SA look at it tomorrow, no biggie.

Seems to be on their end entirely. The version for Bullshido works fine after their support staff made some change on their side. Requested the same change be made for Sociocide.

It's showing up in their directory already at least.

I can read both Bullshido and Sociocide. Although YouTube tags don't work.

Yes, it seems to work. I don't consider the lack of YouTube vids to be an issue.

Reviving this thread with this question: I can't get Bullshido to come up with Tapatalk 2.0 HD on a Kindle Fire HD. I only have one other forum installed for Tapatalk, and it works great (and has really allowed me to get involved again in a forum I've neglected.) I'd like to do the same at Bullshido, but Tapatalk shows me a progress circle and says "Connect to server." It never stops or announces a timeout, it just sits with the progress indicator moving forever.

Can anyone confirm that you're able to connect with Bullshido using Tapatalk 2.0 HD? Anyone using older versions that work? Anyone using Kindle Fire HD's with any version that works?

I can look at it, but I refuse to sockpuppet there, or participate generally. They made that bed and can lie in it.

That said, there's a thing or two I can check tonight that won't require a login. Past that, it's probably on whoever their tech people are lately.

What if 3moose1 made a Phrost voodoo doll out of discarded credit card applications he found while dumpster diving?
Could he, while reading the thread "BJJ can be learned through osmosis", make a burnt offering of Rudy Able's hair clippings and WarWheel's discarded toenail trimmings to the Djinn of Bullshido and summon him back?

Syntactical Disruptorize
30th May 13, 09:51 PM
Such poor leavings to summon the djinn.

Really, I'm only looking into this out of respect for Don Gwinn. I wouldn't even be posting here if I hadn't gotten an email alert for this thread. I find I mostly agree with Cullion that Sociocide isn't to my taste any more.

My initial finding is that BS.net either doesn't have Tapatalk installed or the installation is badly misconfigured. I can't get a proper response at all.

Syntactical Disruptorize
