Michele Bachmann has become well known for her anti-government tea-bagger antics, protesting health care reform and every other government “handout” as socialism. What her followers probably don’t know is that Rep. Bachmann is, to use that anti-government slur, something of a welfare queen. That’s right, the anti-government insurrectionist has taken more than a quarter-million dollars in government handouts thanks to corrupt farming subsidies she has been collecting for at least a decade.

So 'socialism' is when somebody else gets the cash?

Farm subsidies belong to that special group of "capitalism"

All farmers are saints and therefore giving them money is like making a charitable donation, therefore it is righteous.

All bankers however are scum and must be stolen from at every opportunity.

For some reason I think Michele Bachmann probably has mexican saints actually doing the farming part. Whilst she soaks up state handouts.

The only subsidy I'm in favour of is some form of citizen's income.

Well, the second part is correct, but in reality it works more like: Everyone says we should steal from bankers. A bunch of politicians get together and say "Hey, we're going to steal from bankers." They then pass the "Steal from bankers act." However, the actual language of the bill steals from you and gives to the bankers.

Because the politicians are or have friends who are bankers.

I don't think they'd all necessarily class as 'friends'.

National socialism had interesting ideas about this.
You can find translated partyprograms fro as far back as 1931, or 32 i believe.

You don't need to be friends to be friends with benefits.

Or just pretend I said something else which was witty and funny at the same time., k?

No, that was good.

However, I have my suspicions that some banking influence is due to various forms of pressure, rather than simple 'old boy network' backslapping and bribery.

The top-tier banks have extraordinary power when they act as a cartel. They can suffocate national economies.

Cullion, do you think something should be done to break the grip of these top tier banks?
