I got a bulk order of fingerless leather gloves some months ago, that I had been gradually modding and selling off. A few weeks ago, I was selling at a convention, and decided to hardware out the remaining half-dozen or so pairs I had lying around so I could put them on my table.
I decided that, in order to push my creativity, I was going to make each pair at least slightly different from each other pair, while still working in the basic medium of studs, spikes, and chainmail:

Additionally, I finally got my own store up and running on Etsy. I sold my first item (one of the pairs of gloves listed above) earlier this week.
Check me out, yo. (http://www.etsy.com/shop/metalartisan)

Wow, I think this is a better combination of materials and influences than those insulated gloves you had. Not meaning to say that those weren't good, but these please me more.

These are also ~10,000 times easier to make.

Working through that insulation was a pain in the ass, huh? Or because of the velcro strap, these could be opened up more?

your prices are quite reasonable, considering.

Less pedestrian gloves and less symmetry would help.

Q: How many hipsters does it take to screw in a light bulb?

A: You mean you don't know?

Look, that sort of sucked but the point I'm trying to make is when is the last time you saw a vagina in person?

This morning.

For you? I'm guessing "birth", but for all I know you may have come out of a cloning pod or something.

I can tell you're lying because it's not funny enough for you to be in a relationship.

By the way, my GF has multiple orgasms like no other woman i've ever known.

Once she gets revved up its like a perpetual motion machine.

No, just because they're so much smaller. Compare:
http://th00.deviantart.net/fs71/300W/i/2010/087/c/b/Gloves___Studs_and_Spikes_1_by_MetalArtisan.jpg

Each glove there has three spikes and ten studs.
Whereas these....
http://th05.deviantart.net/fs50/300W/i/2009/322/4/a/Gloves___The_Morningstars_by_MetalArtisan.jpg
Each has sixteen spikes and, somewhere between 300-400 links of chainmail, and six bolts to hold it on. The chainmail, in particular, adds a LOT of time to the construction. Unfortunately, it just looks too badass not to do.

Bornsceptic: it's funny you should post that, as I was recently recommended that I should look into making stuff for the fetish community. Apparently, there are a good number of people out there would pay some decent sized bucks for metal lingerie.

MJS: I'm trying to keep asymmetry to a minimum, because -as I see it- it gives more of a punk than a metal look. Punk generally has a rough around the edges, chaotic sound, and that chaos is reflected in punk fashion. In trying to create "metal fashion", I'm in turn trying to reflect the more sharp, clean aesthetic found in heavy metal.
I have done some asymmetrical stuff, mostly where I was continuing the innate asymmetry of the original piece. Case in point, my winter jacket:

It's not the clearest photo, but you get the general idea; scale mail on the right arm, spikes on the left.
