Well boyo, it's the fokkin' Boondock Saints (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0144117/) then, innit?

I really liked the first movie. I forget how I stumbled across it a few years ago, but I rented it and watched it with the missus and a fun time was had by all. Ended up buying the disc....then picked up the steelbook and plan on getting the blu-ray.

Checked out Overnight (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390336/), where director Troy Duffy comes off like an insufferable prick who managed to get lightning in a bottle and assemble a top-notch cast to make his film work.

Everyone who has checked this film out has the favorite scenes or lines. Of course, Willem Defoe dropping "faggot" bombs left and right is awesome. Personally, I liked the "Fokkin Charlie Bronson Rope" scenes and how they manage to fall ass-backwards into success. And how the fuck did they manage to get Billy Connolly (http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=60320)? Defoe is a bigger star, but Connolly *made* this fucking movie. Guy has always be underrated as a comedian and an actor and this movie will be what people think of when he kicks it.

Much discussion over the past few years about a sequel. From watching Overnight, I'm saying this shit ain't gonna happen. This fucker hasn't done but two things (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&q=+jack+and+shit+and+jack+just+left+town&aq=f&aqi=&oq=&fp=8ec9ea851cee2c5b) since the first movie and I don't see anyone wanting to hop into bed with him.

Theatrical success is one thing, DVD success is another. Combined: BOOYAH which answers why Michael Bay and Nic Cage are able to keep pumping out work. Boondock Saints did nothing on release and picked up a following on DVD after some airings on like CineMax or something. He's made bank from DVD sales, but I didn't see a sequel happening.

Well, fuck me with a Veritas Aequitas tattooed hand.....

it only took 10 Lucasesque years.....and here we go.

Boondock Saints II: All Saint's Day (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/boondocksaints2/)

The Trailer, which I saw in front of some movie....I wanna say Crank 2: High Voltage, but I can't reall
Ue0rmWo6JdA
Shows most of the old faces:
we got Connor (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001218/)and Murphy (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005342/)
Il Duce (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0175262/)
They also added Peter Fonda.....Jawbreaker/Angel hottie Julie Benz. Judd Nelson (?) and Clifton Collins Jr. (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004286/) who was pretty awesome in Crank 2 and I guess was in Star Trek but I don't remember him from it. Which isn't surprising, because Star Trek pretty much became a "That Dude From...." movie. It had "That Dude From Heroes", "That Dude Playing Thor", "That Dude From Shawn of the Dead/Hot Fuzz", "That Dude From LOTR/Doom/Pathfinder", "That Dude From the Shitty Hulk", "That Dude from Harold and Kumar"......

So I see this film is going to be theatrically released and not just direct to DVD. I'm like, "I'm so seein' this. I'll just call in sick and take a day off." I look at the awesome Boxofficemojo.com site (which shows number of screens and stuff) and it's like less then a hundred screens. WTF? No signs of expanding. DAMMIT. I look at the release list on the official site and it is pretty much East Coast/West Coast.

SHITHOTDAMMITMUTHAFOKKA. Imma gonna get all Charlie Bronson on their asses.

So I will probably have to wait and see this on DVD and I have a sickening sinking feeling it won't be good....or at least up to par with the previous....and I won't like it or will be disappointed.

Next up:

Smokin' Aces 2: Assassin's Ball (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1319743/)

I so hope this will be good, but I don't see how they'll top Defoe's homophobic gay guy.

John Fucking Wayne!

Saw this a few days ago. I was pleasantly pleased. It was basically the same as the last movie, but changed enough to give it a nice, fresh sequel feeling. Collins is great I remember him from 187, playing Cesar. I hope he gets a starring role sometime soon. His opening scene is probably his best, but it's hard to say with the number of chuckles I got from watching his performance.

The feel of no-powered superheros mixed with Irish brother tomfoolery is present, and just teetering on the brink of overplayed, but not going over.

The gun-fu is all about macho imaginings, and not a whit of actual strategy/tactics. In other words, just right.

I recommend it, I hope they keep the surprise ending as a lead-off into a trilogy conclusion.

It finally played in the theaters around here and saw it in January and liked it.

I got this yesterday, delivered via my FREE 3-month subscription to Amazon Prime (which is fucking awesome but I would never pay for it). However, I ended up watching 2012 with the boy.

2012 was like 2 movies: a movie for fags and a movie for not-fags. They needed to edit all the talky-talky fag stuff and just start it off with a building crumpling earthquake and move the story outwards from there. And they should have gotten Al Gore in a cameo getting WTFPWND by a Tsunami and get straight dumped into a volcano.
