Ghana has just become the 86th fncking country to join the International Whaling Commission with the encouragement of the Japanese wankers:

Perhaps the Trade Federation should organize a blockade of Ghana, force them out.

Hehe...Mongolia doesn't even have a coast.

What's wrong with killing some whales with sustainable numbers?

See that rolling donut, Lily? You know what to do.

If Whales are of only animal intelligence, I see no reason to treat them any differently than we treat squid, or pheasants.

I agree.

A pheasant is a type of peasant right?

Yes. And they taste delicious stuffed with woodland fruit and wild or red rice at the right time of year.

Most whales probably aren't that smart and many of the people engaged in protecting them aren't that smart either. There's no sensible reason not to eat them.

But every time I've seen a whale I feel a sense of wonder that I can't really explain. Go figure.

I feel the same wonder with a herd of deer, elk, or a bear. I have still eaten all of them.

Excellent find Kiko!

The reason whales are protected is because they take so absurdly long to breed and raise young that they can't outdo the culling that takes place.

Japan's appetite for whale products alone would be enough to wipe out every whale on planet Earth.

The Japanese still eat Whales, and they're still here.

....

Only because they aren't allowed free reign to do whale as much as they want.

Little thing called world powers wanting them to stop.

You do remember the whole debacle of Australia claiming it would go to war with Japan over whaling rights no?

I doubt if they were serious.

The thing was... Japan was whaling in Australian waters. They mentioned going to war and then groups (thankfully) said that going to war and wasting human lives over whales was dumb... this was all occuring during the Sea Shepherd debacle too. The Prime Minister eventually went on to state after being questioned why:

"The reason that we're not proposing to use defence resources is that we are not proposing to go to war with Japan over the issue of whaling,"

But the fact that Japan is being so stubborn and idiotic about this is a major concern, especially because they held off from whaling (except through poaching) for years and years until they finally found this "if done for scientific research" loophole which started the whole thing.

Japan is a nation that lives almost entirely off of seafood and rice. They will try anything to get at what to them is a primary resource of food and it's understandable but there is more at stake than one nation's appetite. Supposedly I've heard Japanese fleets alone have almost destroyed many species of fish that they usually go after and thus are going after different things to fill in the void in the fish market as what they traditionally catch just keeps getting smaller and smaller.

Eating whale meat has been directly linked to developing an inordinate interest in schoolgirls' panties. qed

Okay, I know what I have to do now. I am going to become the Prime Minister of Australia within the next decade and declare war on the Scandinavian countries, Japan and the pathetic starving nations of Africa.
