Pete Cosey was picked up by Miles Davis after spending years teething as a session guitarist for Chess Records, appearing on Muddy Waters' Electric Mud and Howlin Wolf's The Howlin Wolf Album. He appeared between 1973 and 1875 on Miles' Get Up With It, Dark Magus, Agarta, and Pangaea, as well as on various tracks on The Complete On The Corner Sessions. After Miles' retirement he worked briefly with Herbie Hancock before disappearing off the face of recorded music for two and a half decades. Cosey recently came together with some members of Miles' electric groups to release Miles From India.

He also appeared in an AARP commercial, the sell out.
