I recall watching "The Streets Of San Francisco" on afternoon TV when I would get home from school. It's not that I liked it....just wasn't much else on.

with a young Michael Douglas.

I didn't know Malden had won an Academy Award....or that he was in Streetcar. Pretty much whenever I think of Streetcar, I think of Brando....and knew he was in Waterfront with him, just never made the connection.

Oh well, poor guy...97 y/o, damn.

Guy lived a long and celebrated life. Died of natural causes, which makes him somewhat spectacular amongst the Hollywood crowd.

Yeah, but he was also pretty ugly.

Ugly in a way that kept him working and making money for almost 70 years.

Like a good actor. People liked to watch him, despite the nose.

I dunno....for some reason I have been watching these old movies like The Great Escape and Bullett and The Gauntlet and Good Guys Wear Black and the original The Longest Yard and Hard Times.......

Actually I know why. I recalled seeing an interview with John Cena talking about the movie he made: The Marine where he was trying to film an "old school action movie" and I got to thinking about those old school action movies.

Those older cats were some hard old fuckers
