I went shopping and got a bottle of oyzo and also picked up a can of Mother at the bakery. When I got home I was trying to decide between drinking the energy drink first or taking a few shots of oyzo. I ended up putting them together. I'm on my second glass and I've got a pretty good buzz right now.

I HATE oyzo

is it possible for people on this forum to drink something not sickly sweet.

Kiko teach these right.

Lighter fluid? Benzene? Get fucking real. I save the good stuff for special occasions.

No seriously, how is it? Never had it, but I heard that if you mix it with a litle water it will cloud and you can see a cool demonstration of the Tyndall effect.

Also, what else do you like to drink?

When you say "how is it?" do you mean oyzo or oyzo and Mother?

Regarding oyzo and Mother; the first sip I screwed up my face and scowled, then I cocked my eyebrow and said to myself "that's not bad".

If you've never had oyzo, it tastes like aniseed or liquorish. It doesn't burn as much as stuff like scotch.

As for t3h 4lc0h0l, I prefer white wine (but not chardonnays) and imported beers. I'm not that big on spirits, but I don't mind tequila.

at my birthday my friend from melbourne made me a drink that consisted of random amounts of jagermeister, an energy drink sold in canada called beaver buzz that tastes like orange candy, and san pellegrino. it was so good i had three.

i just drank a whole lot of strong wine and smoked a lot of lousy hash and now it's reallllly hard to type.

I was going to guess The Beverage of Champions (tiger's urine mixed with 151 and blended with a raw t-bone steak).

:(

blade steak works better, the extra connective tissue makes for a richer beverage.

You have a point, but the flavor of the marrow and the other nutrients from the bone can't be over looked either.

a blade steak has a bone smart guy.

Uh, okay. Thought you were talking about the merrits of conective tissue. Sorry to bring a different view to the able.

Oyzo is nasty. I suppose if I was Greek I might enjoy it more, but I don't really get the cultural aspect of drinking it so I really don't like drinking the taste equivalent of liquorice and rubbing alcohol.

Why the hell would you mix Mother with Oyzo, dude? Those are two amazingly conflicting tastes. Mother is kinda tart but pretty nice. The attitude the can gives you is pretty funny too.

Nothing wrong with Ouzo with a little water. I prefer Metaxa though.

I knew there was something wrong with you! No grown man should like Warhammer that much. And now this... Man, you really are sick, you know that?

Does adding water do anything to the taste?

Does adding water do anything to the taste?

It just dilutes the aniseed flavour, makes it go cloudy and takes the burn away.
