Specifically Darrell Lea Australian soft licorice!

If you hate it, whatever, but if you love it... you have to try this.

They've also got odd flavors. MANGO? Nummy!

It won't rip out your fillings, either.

(I can't figure out how to un-italicize, so.... right)

That must be some damn fine licorice! It's made you go all italic!

I was always a fan of licorice allsorts as a kid. I used to eat the colored parts first and save the black for last. wow you did not need to know that....

time to turn inner monologue off for a little while. I gotta go buy some of that, nostalgia.

As far as Australian soft-eating licorice goes, my favorite brand is black opal. softer and slightly more flavorful than lea's, IMO

can't find it anymore though. place where i used to get it stopped stocking it.

"A real nice strong liquorice for all liquorice-'lubbers"

Apparently pirates love salt liquorice

I bet if you chopped it up and added it to hardtack, it'd be better than weevils!

Are you saying Super Piratos are only marginally better than weevils?

Bah... no one likes Beskøjter

But Weevils are crunchy!!

I've actually seen some recipes put chocolate chips in instead.

Super Piratos are soft

Piratos would be better suited.

I think weevils have a larval stage. They could be that.

Are you working for the National Solution For Weevils in cooking, or something?

Kiko

No, I just like saying weevils, 'cause it sounds funny.
