I'm uploading videos as we speak.

I ran a 49.188

The average time was 53.xxx and the fastest time was 43.xxx and the slowest being 1:16.xxx

Enjoy!

The fastest street car time went to the National Auto-X champ, Bryan Hikotter (i don't know how to spell his name) who had an MR2 turbo that he drives . Who was beaten only by a 240z race prepped car by a few tenths of a second.

He seriously uses portals or power ups or something. He just breaks the laws of physics all together.

I was on some shitty Road Hugger tires.

Hard econo-tires which sucked. However, I did pull off some mad tight all-wheel drive drifts trying to go faster. The STi rear sway bar that I put on here made it very very twitchy and the rear end was stepping out a lot all over the place which I didn't really like because it made it harder to drive, but I did outrun some Evo's and WRX's today. I'm satisfied with my time, but not happy. It's my first go at auto-x in the impreza and I wasn't sure of what she was capable of until towards the end.

I think with two more laps I could've easily gotten a 47.xxx. I severely underestimate my differentials and my car's remarkable grip despite the unremarkable tires I was on.

From what I read and have experienced, good tires make a huge difference. With some racing rims and tires, sounds like you could have been close to the fastest time.

With some good tires alone I think I could've pulled off a 46.xxx without breaking a sweat.

I think my biggest problem was just my underestimation of my car. I was only utilizing like 50% of its available grip. I knew the line, I knew the techniques, but I wasn't sure about the grip and fucked up.

However, next time, I will be sure to get in the top 10. That's my goal. I'll probably have better tires next time, and I might wash the mud off my car.

First video:

This lap was my slowest where I actually finished. I think this was a 51.xxx or something. Anyway, it sucked I wasn't happy with it and severely underestimated my car. Too much braking, not enough throttle.

:(

Second run, this was my slowest run that I actually finished which was a 51.xxx. You can see why I was so slow, not enough WOT.

Third run, I severely ****ed up and went for a third lap. You can hear how pissed off I was at the end. They didn't flag me until the very end, so whatever.

Fourth run, my crack run. I don't know what I was doing, but I just smoked everywhere. The ****ing indicator cones at the end ****ed everything up for me, I had no idea where the finish was coming in at that angle, which explains the wiggle.

Lame.

Learn to do it. It's great for daily driving.

Yeah, just have to practice more.

Too bad the cam wasn't in-car for the final lap, looked like fun.

Keep doing it. Practice at every corner. I've pretty much turned this city into my own personal race course.

The most important thing is to learn where your engine revs are in each gear.

For example, I know that from 3rd in say, 80mph, going down to 2nd at like 50ishmph, my 2nd gear RPMS are around 2200, so I know that if I want my heel-toe to be smooth, I need to blip it to 2200 before I can let the clutch go with 2nd gear in tow and getting back on the throttle.

I overrev most the time...

I think need to sit down and practice in a parking lot with no distractions or danger and get it right all the time before taking it to the street.

You can tell I'm something less than amateur, but we all gotta start somewhere right?
