The main reason this fails is that I could see Clarence from True Romance taking this "samurai" out just as easily as he took out the pimp.

i finally saw a bit of the first series. the animation was cool but i got bored fast.

The reason i like this series is because its very direct and short. Its pretty much the 300 of anime.

I wanted to like this show, really I did, but it was just really boring and kind of cliched. Samurai Champloo was way better. In fact, for starters, it was enjoyable to watch.

Agreed the badassry (is this a word) of Afro is the only thing that keeps this afloat although I do like many of the characters. BTW Ninja Ninja is imaginary

I liked Samurai Champloo also.....but I liked Afro Samurai better.
A black samurai with a crazy 'fro....a jive talking Buddhist abbot....the absurdity of all that slaughter for some damn head bands? What is there not to like ?

Champloo was good in spurts. The first three episodes were good, the two episodes with the blind chick were good, and the last three episodes were great.

Make up your mind.

I want more episodes so more interesting charcters can be added. A minimum of 10 or like champloo with 20 something. Which still makes Afro Samurai the shortest anime series in the history of anime.

No wonder you thought it was boring that was the worst fight in the whole series so far.
