You know the Dark Knight is pro gun control don't you?

Come to think of it, Batman is pro-gun control; a gun killed his parents, he never uses them (Frank Miller oddities aside), and if the criminals had fewer guns it would make his job that much easier.

Batman will come in the dark of the night and take your guns away. Batman's a nazi.

I haven't really read any Batman comics. What are some good ones you guys recommend? Ideally available all together as a graphic novel or some such.

Best Batman story ever. (http://www.amazon.com/Batman-Knight-Returns-Frank-Miller/dp/1563893428/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215459022&sr=1-1)

The "Year" stories are pretty good too. Short but sweet, and with the Joker to boot, is "The Killing Joke".

The first one are what IGN considers the best Joker stories ever, the second one are the top 25 batman graphic noves.

I feel like kind of a tard now, cause I used to room with a guy that was COMPLETELY obsessed with Batman comics. I'm pretty sure he had every one ever written, in some form or another. It was pretty much all he talked about, that and pro wrestling, he was kind of a weird dude. I probably should've just borrowed these back then. I think his over the top infatuation kinda creeped me out though.

I thought this was a pretty sweet series as well. Anyone remember "reading" issue 433?
