Weak. The animated gif spoofs blow this away.
The trilogy was actually entertaining.

Youtube is down right now. Is this the Bakshi version? I like it.

Youtube is back up, and I'm disappionted that Tom Bombadil still doesn't get mentioned.

Tom Bombadil is a supporting character in J. R. R. Tolkien's legendarium. He appears in Tolkien's fantasy epic The Lord of the Rings, published in 1954 and 1955. In the first volume, The Fellowship of the Ring, Frodo Baggins and company meet Bombadil in the Old Forest.

Bombadil is an all powerful singing hippy with a hot wife who adds nothing to the plot, so they axed him from the movie.

I think LOTR needed an elf king and queen named Lord Morningwood and Lady Dingleberry. That would have improved it to no end, at least in my book.

You'd probably enjoy "bored of the rings" then.
