I doubt if she's ever actually been to Iran. Funny looking chick though.

The photo was taken at an award ceremony in Hungary, where she was presented with that medal as some kind goodwill gesture to the US.

Does it bother you that people who say such things are running your foreign policy?

it speaks volumes of ignorance. How the fuck did the apple drop so far from the Bush Sr. tree. Bush Sr's aides made measured and intelligent statements, even when blatantly false. Bush Jr. just lets them do whatever the fuck they want.

American foreign policy is now in the hands of excitable zealots from good schools with mostly no military experience (the baby boomers are mostly Vietnam draft dodgers) and little or no experience of the countries they are formulating policy for.

and when a vietnam era presidential candidate runs who actually was a war hero, aka John Kerry, the republican party still cries foul with the most see through smear campaign I've ever born witness too. American politic's have quickly in the last decade degenerated to Roman colliseum era propaganda and ridiculous displays of false bravado ment to placate huge crowds of fucking idiots who scream for blood and aren't happy until they get it. The prime problem of course is neither the ones screaming for blood, nor the ones who are promising to deliver it know exactly who to get the blood from.

It's pretty fucked up in there.

I think the way so many people here cheered when they saw that kid getting tazered for 'mouthing off' at a VIP shows where. You're going to get it from each other and whoop with delight as you do it.

Yes, it does.

Sad that I'm nearly certain you expected me to say otherwise.

Edit: Oh, hey.

Incidentally, a bit of Google-fu will show you she's a leftover from the Clinton Administration.

It's POTUS- President Of The United States- or, if you're a goober, PofUS- President of United States.

Also, oh great google-fu master, what was her position and authority under the Clinton administration? When was she appointed and by whom? Is it possible that she just joined State or DoD during the Clinton administration and you're just trying to deflect some of the blame onto the president ou don't like? If you're so positive Bush has never met what on Earth makes you think Clinton had anything to do with her?

I was always tempted to turn up at a Tony Blair speech with a boombox and just play 'The Imperial March' as he made his way to the stage.

But then I realised I'd get pepper-sprayed and charged with terrorism.

At Carnival in Brooklyn this year, one of the steel bands dropped a couple-four measures of it into their arrangement. But no apparent political overtone in this case; good arrangers tend to throw in a quote now and then for novelty's sake. I LOLed.

Tasers would spoil the rustic air that permeates ye olde Englndshire, the bobbies here just beat you half way to death with oak batons. It's a more civilised way of doing business.

To be honest it always pisses me off to see people jumping the toll gates like that and knowing that the ticket I'm paying for is more expensive just to pay for there free trip. I mean sure, 8 times in the head is a little extreme, maybe just a couple would have sufficed, but still, I agree with the sentiment.

The whole point of the story is to gin up some guilt by association for Bush in regards to this man-woman, which got your testes stirring. Sadly, you then found out you'd have to take some time out to rationalize Clinton's guilt by association.

Or you could just do what most Clintonistas do; call names, character assassinations, flat-out lie, etc. I don't blame you for shortcutting to the 2nd option.

So some mid-level b-crat said some dumb things in a conversation she probably expected to be 'off the record'. He/she should have known what weasly little sissypants tattletales Brits can be.

Abraham Lincoln enjoyed indulging in 'nigger jokes' in private. Nixon cursed Jews in private. Carter curses them in his books. They're just regular people in private.

Or do you still really believe that Bill Clinton "felt your pain"?

Clinton knew how to keep it's mouth shut. W doesn't. That's the difference. If you can employ Hitler and make him be nice to Jews, then you are a God among men.

What question? A quick glance at Google links showed she worked at the State Dept under Clinton. And so what? That's no guilt by association for Clinton either.

Princess Margaret was overhard saying "the Irish are pigs". Should Elizabeth have abdicated over this? Were there news stories around giving the impression this was the official position of the royal family? Of course not.

This is just a flimsy story. The President can not be held accountable for everything everyone down the line of federal employees says in private, nor can everything they say be characterized as his official policy. You should hear the shit my mailman says.

She's clearly been promoted since then. There's every reason to think her amateurish splenetics are emblematic of this administrations thinking. Nonetheless, I could well be being paranoid in my inference that others thinlk as she does. I trust you'll still support her immediate firing from any position relating to foreign policy especially as it effects military tactical doctrine where civilians are concerned?

Princess Margaret was overhard saying "the Irish are pigs".

That's a perfectly normal position for an English blue-blood of the time to take.

Should Elizabeth have abdicated over this?

No because the IRA were engaged in a bombing campaign against civilian targets at the time.

Were there news stories around giving the impression this was the official position of the royal family? Of course not.

You really don't have the faintest idea how british society works, do you?

This never happened because;-

A) Margaret wasn't a selected and allegedly qualified goverment offical with executive power. She was the sister of a figurehead who happened to have the right to wear certain robes and attend certain ceremonies.

B) Even if the entire royal family got drunk and insulted the Irish in front of a newspaper reporter it would not have been reported back then. If the reporter had been young and stupid enough to think he had a 'scoop' on his hands, he would have I) ended his career prematurely and ii) found out exactly what a 'D-Notice' was.

Google 'D-|Notice'

Please note, not only am I a Brit but I am also 2nd generation Irish Republican on my mother's side.

Nah, it isn't, like my earlier post pointed out, but this is just one of the ever-growing pile of reasons why people are generally dissatisfied with bush and his crew.

Its funny that in one hand you'll point out that there is no guilt by assoc., but on the other are fully willing to paint with the same brush. for great justice?.

Yeah, but what does that accomplish other than providing closure to an absurd non-newsworthy story?

We all know how DC works. Today she's fired. She goes on vacation. Comes home, and gets another job in another agency somewhere.

I'd be more impressed finding out her boss screamed at her, called her names, and moved her desk into the basement or something.
