Geeze, the eclipse was key in Avatar and that's a much better show that Heroes!

In this episode, basically everything we predicted happened

Everyone lost their powers because of a solar eclipse?

And other acts of stupidity.

Upshot, Noah is even more of the man since nobody else is superpowered.

HappyOldGuy

Except for the shooting of the entire cast. That didn't happen.

yet. But I remain hopeful.

Actually it was one of the least sucky episodes of the season. They have some good characters behind all the cheesy comic book silliness.

I watched an episode of this show the other day. What an awful lot of hammy acting. I can see why Stick is obsessed with Kristin Bell, though. She's wuvvable.

has anyone watch the online stuff they keep advertising. We might give it a tumble some time this week.

mrblackmagic

Webisodes. They are incredibly cheesey and yet oddly satisfying. I think that kind of comicbook goofiness is what Heroes needed to be. Albeit, the first three episodes are about a mailman, Echo, who uses sonic shrieks to ward off dogs vs an albino who has the bear hug of death. The choice is yours.

partyboy
25th November 08, 10:05 PM
GAH...

GAH!

why the fuck do the characters see-saw back and forth every episode? pick a freaking character choice and GO WITH IT. stop making sylar good, then bad, then daddy's boy, then bad... UGH

from what I know there is a wrestling match going on for creative control of the show.

Jeph Loeb was sacked so that should be worth something. If they renew the show for another season we'll get to see if it's salvageable.

Heroes: Ultimate is the next arc and if it is anything like what it sounds like: the show is getting rebooted.

I guess Kirstens Bells contract is up?

Why, he stopped before he was done. She should have a nasty scare though.

That's the second time he's done that this season.

I'm not positive he did, but it seems likely. If so it ruined an otherwise decent episode.

It doesn't matter. They're rebooting the series. Hopefully, they kill of everybody.

The thing is that for a series that is rebooting, they are being a big bunch of pussies about killing off characters.

Just watch some soap and imagine everyone in capes!

This show had so much damned promise when it started and now it's just going downhill and repeating itself. The story lines are full of holes and inconsistencies and the the characters are getting to be more annoying then anything else. I mean who doesn't want to see to emo bitch Peter Petrelli have his head cut off and whinny jailbait Claire get gang raped and then drawn and quartered.

I don't see how they could "reboot" a TV a show and maintain any semblance of interest from the viewers.

Oh better yet just go buy and read some more comics.

Everyone WINS!!! Except for Heroes.

Hey, settle.

Every show jumps the shark, but for some reason shows with interconnected arcs instead of formulas seem to do it quicker. There's only so much you can do with characters.

As far as the reboot goes, it will probably be like House. The season will start with a whole new set of central characters and then slowly reintroduce old ones.

Yeah but House still had House being House, he makes the show and that's why it worked. When it comes to heroes I wish they would just give people what they want and have a Claire/Nikki (or whatever her name is now)/Elle 3-way make out session and then kill off most of the existing characters.

Dude, it's a show about comic book superheroes. Comic book superheroes get rebooted every five years or so.

I buy an issue of Spiderman every few years to see if it has stopped sucking, and several times I've thought "WTF, why is that character alive, he got killed last time I read this shit!" retcon, retcon, retcon.

In this episode:

She's definitely dead now.

Tough luck, Hiro.

Sylar: a mature and understanding anti-hero

alright, watched the last episode

my thoughts (spoilers included):

-sylar as comic relief is pretty good.
-sylar should have wiped out the haitian when he had the chance.
-how the hell didn't hiro realize that the day he goes back in time was the same one that his mother croaked off?
-hopefully when fuller comes back on next year things will ramp back up (if it lasts that long)

I thought the same thing about the Haitian and why the hell doesn't the Haitian have a name by now?

Hiro was ten mentally when he went back. I don't think he had considered that. I thought it was more messed what happened after he got his memory back.

KhorneliusPraxx
10th December 08, 08:45 AM
I thought The Haitian was mute...when did he learn to speak?

Peter was a 'save the world' mamby pamby nurse. When the hell did he become a super soldier with the firearms? Somebody has to have showed him something. First he was running around Haiti holding off bandits in a military gun battle and now he can simply pick up a pistol and put it between someone's eyes at 15 ft. Good shot...for a nurse.

The Haitian only talked to people he trusted. He used to talk to Claire way back in season 1.

I noticed that about Peter too. Puts a different perspective on "you're not a killer, Peter."

"The Petrelli family has a long, distinguished record of service to their community and country. Nathan’s father served in the United States Army in Vietnam where he learned the value of loyalty to country and fellow man. Along with his wife Angela, the senior Petrelli passed these values on to his children -- Nathan, who served his country in the Navy and as a prosecutor, and Peter, who works in New York City as a health care worker. As Nathan Petrelli considers his father’s influence to be a powerful guiding force in his life, Nathan and his wife Heidi hope to pass these same values on to their own sons, Simon and Monty."

Question: Where are Nathan's paralyzed wife and two kids? Some family man he is.

Volume 4 already? does that mean i'm going to have to wait several months for new episodes, or is there a new one next week?

Did Sylar survive? I bet he does. That fear-feeding homo ain't coming back though, LOL

Kind of an anticlimactic climax if you ask me.

TBD whether it will be a good show.

and can Sylar turn into metal now?
Why didn't the take the puppet masters powers instead of just killing him?
Who was the third guy they released as bait and did sylar take his power?
Sure the little cripple girl can run real fast but how in the hell can she carry two FULL GROWN MEN from Kansas to New York City?
Nathan fired the second triplet. Which to me means he will be porking the third triplet when they introduce her after the superbowl. What will she be able to do?
Will Nathan be brought up on child neglect charges for abandoning his two sons?
Will his cripple wife destroy his political career by putting him through a messy divorce for running around they globe doing what ever the fuck he wants?
Will somebody ever shave sylar's ridiculous distracting eyebrows?
Is Nathan going to hunt down the Powered with giant robots called Sentinals?

These questions and more, will be answered, after the Colts beat the Giants in the Superbowl.

This show is full of two things:

1. Stolen plot and character devices from marvel comics.

2. Plot Holes

Sun Wukong

I really, really hate the new writers picked up after season 1. But that's what always happens. They bother to write one good season with A-list writers, and then they bring in the B-stringers who go about fucking thins up until the show is unwatchable. A-list writers get better resume, B-list writers go back to writing soap opera's until they get picked up to ruin another good show. Quantity over quality. Weird over Creative. I swear to God, I fucking hate Hollywood.

I dont mind this current season, but so many charecters with so many strong connections seemed to be all screwed up still.

I get the feeling that this season is salvaging B.S. from last season and this one.

Ajamil

There's too many powered people. With the company gone, there should be some reaction from the populace as those who are less discreet are witnessed. Maybe next season. They just need to get past the daddy-daughter issues.

Phrost
19th January 10, 09:41 AM
This show would be great if it were just Sylar and HRG, meaning that Claire, the rest of the Petrellis, fat psychic cop, and everyone else was killed off by one or both of them.

Maybe Hiro and Ando could stay around, but Hiro needs to get laid.
