My necromancy powers are high right now and I wanted to see if the Sociocide/CTC people had any suggestions.

I won't link it, and it's probably tame by today's and this crowd's standards.

Eraserhead. WIERD and creepy.

The singing woman with the messed up face scares me.

I love horror films.. I love gore films... I love creepy-wierd disturbing films... I have an iron stomach and fearless film constitution...

But this one creeped me out so much that, unlike my geeky fascination with other films, I have only managed to watch it once and have never attempted to watch it again. It's just... ewwwww

I'm glad that you didn't post the Nekromantik2 link (scene from the end of Nekromantik)! That is one messed up film.

Tetsuo the Iron Man. One of the most crazy films I've ever bought.

Kiko is right, Eraserhead is a decidedly odd piece.

"Oh you are sick" ......

Lucky me, we had a cult films mini-fest in college. So many things I saw because they were free, convenient and better than studying.

After a bit of recreational smoking, my roommates convinced me that "The Shining" would be fun. ARGH!

Are they still your friends? Some people I know thought it would be really keen to drop and watch that on a big screen. I smiled, patted them on the head, and left them to their impending psychotic break.

They did get me to do it with A Clockwork Orange.

Clockwork Orange is totally overrated as a movie and totally underrated as a book.

where to start, where to start? Let me see...we have MAREBITO, VISITOR Q, ICHI THE KILLER, SAVE THE GREEN PLANET, UZUMAKI, KAIRO, JU-ON, TALE OF TWO SISTERS, VERSUS, BATTLE ROYALE and so many more. It's got to be one my biggest hobbies, watching weird movies.

On the old thread THX-1138 suggested August Underground's Mordum (http://www.dvdmaniacs.net/Reviews/A-D/august_underground_mordum.html).

Yuck, the above is a link to info about the movie.... prolly NSFW.

It's not very extreme or bizarre, but when viewed today, The Birth of a Nation is jaw-droppingly politically incorrect to the point of being thoroughly hilarious.

I just stayed up until 5:30 am watching Ichi the Killer last night. I mean, if the Japanese are still trying to beat Urotsukid˘ji for claim to "most fucked up movie ever", I think Takashi Miike succeeded.

Oh, and you really need to add "Happiness" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i_u_KW_iJH8).

P.S. "Dad? Would you... fuck me?"
"No son. I'd whack-off instead."

I second Tetsuo the Iron Man. The opening scene disturbed me so much that I turned it off, and then went back to it the next day. The rest of the movie isn't quite as viscerally horrifying as the first 30 seconds, but it's still pretty fucking weird.

And the end, of course, is just awesome.

Miike didn't exactly write Ichi, which means its watered down by the series standards AND by Miikes standards. Its fucked up, but not as bad as it should've been.

An interesting fact about the making of ichi the killer. I can't find the spoiler thing so just skip it if you don't like anything gross.

Director Takashi Miike reveals on the US TokyoShock DVD release that the semen used in the close-up during the intro sequence, when the film's title raises out of a puddle of semen, is real. It was supplied by Japanese shock director Shinya Tsukamoto (Iron Man Tetsuo) who plays the muscle bound mastermind that controls Ichi. Miike gave a bucket to Tsukamoto to fill but was unable to provide enough material for the shot. He passed the bucket to three other crew members to add the remaining amount.

I will remember that always.

Fun fact, thanks.

The spoiler thing only works on Bullshido right now, fyi.

I wouldn't call it creepy or disturbing (at least, not nearly as much as most of the other movies in this thread), but Donnie Darko is pretty high on the sheer weirdness scale, especially for a major-studio Hollywood production.

I saw it when I was very young...

Ichi the Killer is most likely more extreme/bizarre
