Unfortunately, this is common Gamespy behavior. I used to run a Quake editing website several years back. A person on the PlanetQuake network (became GameSpy later) wanted to merge his site with mine, but they told him that all the original content that he had created himself belonged to them.

I'd fear for any game that was host to a CTC clan nowadays. Jesus. It was bad enough when a few of us had Sony change the entire terms of service for EQ based on our shenanigans.

WE don't.
i bought that game some months ago.
it was extremely frustrating: unbalanced factions.
the jerusalem faction was fookin crap with shitty cavalery.
and when you took a town you couldnt even opt for: exterminate jews (plus 20 000 from looting secret jewgold).

also the maps were incorrect with cities that werent important listed and actual cities such as ibelin or nablus left out.

fucking hell man.
next UR gonna be all pissy about the way Pokemon are divided up.

i really like the concept of total war but they keep fucking things up.
for example other factions, in rome total war, macedonia will ALWAYS attack you.
you have outnumbered their realms, you offer them peace with traderights instead of just killing em off via a diplomAt, and what do they say: we see no need to end the fighting just yet.
its not realistic.

i want more diplomatic possibilities.

ive also played battles outnumbered 10 to 1 and still won.
which is stupid.

look, its really fucking simple, my superior battletactics arent being recognised by the program.
what i would love to be able to do is to destroy a nation by really blocking ports and disrupt its economy and assasinates its governers.
winning without a fight.
but the ai enemy doesnt respond realisticly.

example, in total war i play 'third faction' i keep my regions few in numbers but i make sure they are well developped and on good locations:limited access and preferably having bridges where one must enter my region.

then i build fortreses with a garrison of some tough heavy infantry units and a shitload of archers.
that way, no matter what army comes they gotta go through the bottleneck which either destroys or decimates them.
in case of survival of enemy troops there's a second garrison of medium infantry and cavaley who can catch up and finish the job.

i can hold out for ages thus trading and keeping my enemies fighting eachother.
at the meantime i troll the no1 and no2 factions:i acquire a region either by waror by bribe and i give it as a present to the no2 for traderights and/or mapinformation.
NO alliance.
Then the get the region i snatched right underneaththe nose of no1 who needs it, and voila:no1 and no2 are at war.
while they're busy with eachother im raping the smaller factions, exterminating their towns and destroying their buildings for maximum spoils of war.

then its time for no1, after years of fighting its economy is weak, i got my fleet full of siegeegines and elite expensive troops ready to go.
i take their main economical cities and use their barracks cheap to recruit my own troops.
then i use 1 cavalery unit to block their port, the garrison is lured out and walks rigght into my huge fookin army who is ambushing the region.

i can get worlddomination in some 40 turns.

I only played the Japan total war. Raced to geisha and assassinated all the warlords till I could wipe the map clean of random independent states.

they're going to make the next total war bout japan too.
the news got out some days ago.

I thought NK was trying to start the next total war.
