View Full Version : Jon Stewart on crossfire (raping)

16th October 04, 03:57 AM

This is a clip of Jon Stewart from the daily show on crossfire. It's hilarious for reasons that will become apparent once you watch it.

They got fucking owned.

16th October 04, 04:18 AM
Yeah it was brilliant. It's interesting that he actually cares about this stuff off his show and is willing to do anything to get a point across.

16th October 04, 05:15 AM
Was lol. True - they are rarely honest, if they were they most likely wouldn't be elected would they? Shows like that are too censored. We have one in the UK called Hard Talk or something like that which gives more direct questions and argues with the politcian.

Yes they definitely got 0wned.

16th October 04, 07:01 AM
Damn, Jon speaks his mind lol. Much PwNaGe was reaped there.

16th October 04, 08:14 AM
I love that man.

16th October 04, 09:30 AM
Just beautiful as always.

The last question from the audience was (paraphrasing) "Why can't politicians give a straight answer to a question?"

Stewart answered basically no one holds their feet to the fire.

He's absolutely right.

All of those people need to be held to the rigors of cross examination. You will always get an answer: Yes, No or I don't know, and the latter will bite you in the ass if I have evidence to the contrary.

16th October 04, 09:41 AM
Aye, was a great clip.

I hate when people pull the all smiley passive-aggresive crap like that.

16th October 04, 09:48 AM
Jon Stewart uses comedy as the best form of honesty when he interviews guests especially political ones so at least their answers are human rather than scripted rhetoric. It is amazing Jons question to Kerry "How are you holding up?" was twisted as a suck up question by bow-tie boy.

Jon PWNED them big time.

16th October 04, 11:04 AM
I just about lost it at 6:46.

16th October 04, 12:25 PM
Brilliant, I like Jon Stewarts style.

I like how neither one understood what he was talking about.

16th October 04, 12:47 PM
I think they understood, I also think they took the exact same route so many politicians do and threw the blame back on the other guy so that they don't have to deal with the fact that it's their fault.

They're covering this on Fox News now. Damn!

(Which coincidentally beat CNN and MSNBC COMBINED, and everyone else in ratings for the Presidential debates).

Where on Fox?

16th October 04, 02:21 PM
Too bad I missed the Fox coverage, all O'Reilly vs. Stewart antics aside, something tells me they'd be jumping all over Stewart telling Crossfire that they're a joke ^_^

And bow-tie boy really is pathetic; "How old are you?" "35."

Great stuff.

I particularly liked how he turned their attacks back on them, that crap about how he gave Kerry softballs, that they would've grilled him...... and Stewarts response "wait, what, you're comparing your show to one on Comedy Central? The lead in to my show is puppets making crank phone calls." They just didn't seem to get it.

Effin pwnage.

"No, I'm not gonna be your monkey."

16th October 04, 02:51 PM
I just loved the pure and absolute irony of Jon attacking their journalistic integrity and them responding with "stop talking about serious issues!"

Just love it when bowtie-bow tells the host of an Emmy winning program for a comedy show he is not funny.

17th October 04, 12:32 PM
John Stewart called Bowtie Boy a dick on his own show. That man is my hero.

17th October 04, 12:58 PM
Wow...he has some guts. I respect that guy even more now.

17th October 04, 07:07 PM
"It doesn't matter what show your on, your always a dick."

Classic my friends, classic.

18th October 04, 04:41 AM
Man, that was classic.
Carlson: "You should get a job at a journalism school."
Stewart: "You should go to one."

At least Begala was smart enough to shut up. Stewart sounded like Howard Dean on valium but still managed to kick all ass.
